@Court this week.

School children fighting is never an pleasure to deal with. Had a gang fight to deal with with charges and counter charges. Having the accused and their parents present, what surprised me most was that for 16 to 18 year old boys there were just mothers present to support them, with one exception. My question to all of them 15 in total, where are the fathers? What has happened to having male role models available?. We complain of men behaving badly, teenagers not listening and getting into all kinds of mischief. My concern this week as in most cases where teenagers are present, where are the fathers? Have we enslaved the fathers somewhere , are they unable without consequence to attend to their children and families well-being? One takes a look at the strikes currently happening in South Africa and I see a disengagement between those that have and those that don’t have. Unfortunately there is one common denominator. While the men are fighting in the sandpit about their respective patches of power, our families and children are dying and and crying out for love and attention. I live in hope where we have a society that places their children and family above the need to make a buck and slave away their time to a master.
